If you have been following me for a while, you know that I love subscription boxes. I love them for the kids, for food, and for me! There is just something about the surprise of new items that is fun! But! The convenience of having clothing and jewelry come right to your house to try before you buy is just unsurpassed. Shopping outside the house with four kiddos in tow is one thing I just don’t prioritize anymore, so subscription boxes are perfect for me.
When Fashom reached out to me to review one of their styled boxes in exchange for a small clothing credit, I jumped at the chance. Haven’t heard of Fashom? Fashom is a mobile application that was created so everyone and anyone can share photos of their style, with no boundaries. Their global mission is to let people share everyday self expression with no filters including the mottos #BeReal and #BetterAsIAm. They want people to feel beautiful without having to feel perfect.
In addition to the mobile app where any user can post their style, they also have an option to actually be styled. This is where the box comes in! There are a few things that make Fashom different from some of the other subscription boxes you may have tried.
I am excited to share my experience with the app (including screenshots!) so you can really feel like you are part of this styling!
First, you register in the mobile application and answer some questions about yourself (style, size, preferences, etc.). I have included a few screen shots so you can see some of what the process looks like once you register.
After you complete your profile, in 48-72 hours you will receive some styled outfits via the app. These are clothing, handbag, jewelry, and shoe options that are still within the app and not actually sent to you yet. I received 3 outfits and with those options was provided a note from my stylist, the pieces in a complete picture, and the individual pieces with cost. Again, I want to share the screen shots so you can see exactly how the process works.
After you have reviewed your entire selection of styled outfits, you get to decide which pieces you like, which pieces you don’t, and which you are not sure about and would like to see in person. You select as many or as few as you like and they send all the items to you in an average of 12-14 days per the app (mine took 17 days total to arrive, including weekends). I selected a total of 6 items out of the 20 presented in the 3 outfits above.
I received the 6 items I selected via mail and was ready to try them on and see what might work! Here are the pieces I selected:
An interesting thing to note…some of the items are tag free. The letter I received with my package specifically stated that some pieces come directly from manufacturers or from small businesses without branding in order to keep cost low. The letter noted that they are quality tested and all brand new items.
The first outfit I tried included the jewelry items, the elephant print cardigan, and the faded wash shredded jeans.
Second, I changed up the cardigan to see if the jeans would work with some options already in my closet.
I absolutely loved the cardigan since elephants are my absolute favorite, but it was long and fairly thick. If I lived anywhere but Phoenix, I am sure I would have kept this item. However, I just didn’t feel like I would get much wear out of it after trying it on and feeling the warmth of it.
The whole reason I selected the jeans in the first place was that I do not have any black jeans in my closet. I was super nervous to try them on when I saw they sent a smaller size than I usually wear. Since they are super stretchy, they totally worked! These are a little edgy, and I am definitely NOT edgy. I think I can still make them work in my closet [leave me a comment if you agree!]
I really liked this jewelry and thought it was completely affordable! I kept both the earrings and the necklace.
[Random Medical Public Service Announcement: Get your skin checked yearly! That gorgeous scar running along side my new necklace is courtesy of a tiny little melanoma. Melanoma is no joke. I was never a crazy tanner and am not that old. Get checked!]
Yikes. I thought the stripe on this dress was totally fun when I saw it in the app. However, getting it home and trying it on…it was just not flattering on me at all. The length did not work on my short frame and the sleeves hit me awkwardly. This one went back for someone taller and leaner than me.
You might have noticed that the floral print in the photo did not match the print on the dress I am wearing. Sadly, there was a quality issue so they had to switch it out last minute. Although the fit of the dress was cute with the ruffle front and tie at the waist, I just didn’t love the floral fabric. I sent this one back as well.
My styled Fashom box was totally fun! I loved that I was able to choose items in advance, knowing their cost, and loved that I could choose an entire styled outfit if I wanted to do that.

How long did the fashom box take to arrive? I am so annoyed at the length of time I will likely send the whole box right back. Terrible customer service and zero email response. Did anyone else experience this? I wish there was a phone number
Oh man, I hate when things get delayed! I think my box definitely took the full 14 days but it wasn’t late. I don’t think I needed to reach out to customer service, but I would definitely expect a prompt reply. Good luck! I will share a number if I find one.
You looked great in the items they sent! I love how affordable Fashom is. Also, being able to call my stylist is extremely helpful.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I totally agree!
Here is an email and phone number I found that might point you in the right direction for some help…info@fashom.com or you may also call (646) 598-6834.
I only got 1 outfit to view
Oh bummer! I would definitely reach out to your stylist.
Maybe it mentioned it here but i didnt see it…you are charged $15 everytime you cancel because you didnt like what your stylists “picked “for you.i used up my 2 free styles and i paid two $15 before i bought something i never knew until it was too late.im done with this company.
Oh bummer! That was definitely not the case when I tried them out last year.
Do they have Plus sizes?
Yes!! Although I did not order any plus or petite sizes in my order, my understanding is they have both!
